Amy Elliott |
Dr. Amy Christine Elliott, PhD, HCHI has her doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy, is a certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor just completed her first book on hypnoanesthesia for childbirth. She is in private practice in clinical hypnotherapy in Marietta, Ohio, and deals with a variety of physician referred issues. She grew up locally and is pleased to bring these integrative health options to the women of this region and to be part of a group of women that will help so many! |
Crysta Bourdon |
Crysta Bourdon is certified CD-DONA by Doulas of North America as a birth doula, is certified as a hypnodoula through Hypnobabies, and is currently studying to teach infant massage. As a mother of three and stepmother of three, she adds life experience to her training and education to provide expectant mothers and their partners with well-rounded services. By protecting and honoring positive birth wishes she hopes to show women a pregnancy and childbirth experience that will become one of their most treasured and cherished memories. Having attended several births in the mid Ohio valley area, she is well recommended by her previous clients. Crysta is currently accepting new clients, and is supportive of any woman's educated, informed birth plan. She offers help with forming such a plan by providing the necessary resources. She provides continuous support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period. |
Trisha Miller |
Trisha Miller is a dedicated wife, sister, daughter, friend, and artistic spirit! She is passionate about working with children and families and is excited to help bring a network of caring professionals together to support natural parenting. She and her husband, John, are the happy parents of two precocious cats and are planning to expand the family to include human children in the very near future. As a self-proclaimed tobacco prevention "activist," one of Trisha's many goals for mama*ology would be to raise awareness of the effects of smoking, not only prenatally, but throughout a child's life. Trisha is also very interested in environmental awareness and hopes to help educate families about creating healthier nurseries. |
Holly Poulson |
Holly Poulson is the mother of four children, all born using the Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth. She has had two hospital births and two "out-of-hospital" births. She has been an accredited Bradley instructor since 1999. She has also had the privilege of attending numerous births as a labor support professional, or Doula, in both hospital and home environments. She believes the majority of women can experience a natural childbirth, through education, learning how to stay healthy and low-risk through diet and exercise, and having a supportive and caring "coach." Her goal is to eliminate the fear of birth so the couple can work together using relaxation techniques for a positive birth experience. |
Anne Reed |
Anne Reed is a wife and mother of a creative and energetic five-year old boy. When she is not working as an office manager of the family business, she enjoys yoga, reading, art, painting and photography. She would like to become a certified Vinyasa and Prenatal Yoga instructor so she can teach others about the power of their bodies. |
Tina Tindall |
Tina Tindall is passionate about natural childbirth and wants to give women tools to educate themselves about childbirth choices. She says about her vision, “I just want to live in a world where all women can give birth where and how they chose without fear for themselves or their baby. I believe we can get closer to this goal through education about natural childbirth and its benefits.” Tina experienced the joy of birth on December 25, 2005, when her son Jack was born using the Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth in the hospital. She states that, “both Jack's birth and my efforts at spreading the word about natural childbirth are the most empowering and deeply satisfying experiences of my life.” Along with spending her days chasing a busy toddler, Tina is a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in therapy for children from birth to age five. Tina and her husband, Kevin, would like to experience a midwife-attended home birth when they have their next child. |
Christine Marasco |
Christine Marasco is a busy wife and mother of three. She is thrilled to see mama*ology off the ground, looking forward to offering the community expanded opportunities in the parenthood journey. Christine spends her days involved in MOMS Club of Marietta, Marietta MOPS and working as the marketing manager of her husband's business. It is a prospective goal of Christine's to achieve her Child/Passenger Car Seat Technician Certification so that she can assist local parents in proper installation and usage of car seats. All three of Christine's children were born at home, and she reflects upon her experiences in birth as three of the most personally rewarding times in her life. She is an avid supporter of midwifery care as a safe and cost effective option in pregnancy and childbirth. |
